Information about kittens, pricing, and kitten placement.
- I believe we are breeding the largest male Maine Coons with veterinary certified weights in the United States. This does not happen by accident. We have been selectively breeding the biggest and best European Maine Coons for 27 years, over two decades with careful attention to HEALTH, TYPE, and Personality. Our financial investment in this outcome is substantial, and our pricing reflects our investment and our dedication to quality. We stand behind our kittens and our guarantee. We are a top US breeder and our pricing is about in the middle of the pack for the top US Breeders. Text me for a chart of top breeder pricing. Our male kittens are $4500 and our female kittens are $4250-$4500. You pay 1/2 of the purchase price when you sign a contract and select your specific kitten and the balance of the purchase price when your kitten is 8 weeks old. We DO have specialty kittens, also, from our specialty programs. These kittens are polydactyl, permanent blue eyes, high smoke or high silver. All of these kittens are $5500 each (in rare cases a kitten may be more if it is a true unicorn).
- Do you sell BREEDING RIGHTS? I get this question from time to time and the answer is - it depends. Primarily, it depends on you - your personality, your housing situation, your financial situation...if you and I click and we decide we want to work together, then we can discuss breeding rights. All of my Breeding Rights kittens are the same price, $8500 (a little less than the cost of 2 pet kittens) and that price is the same whether the kitten is from my standard program or my specialty program. I get one kitten back if you select your breeding kittens from the standard program and 2 kittens back if you select your breeding kitten from a specialty program. You must buy 2 Breeding Kittens from me, a male and female. I do not sell to established breeders, only new breeders, whom I will mentor.
- BREEDERS' OPTION. I have the right to place a kitten out of order. I have the right to place a kitten with breeding rights or without breeding rights. I have the right to retain any of my kittens. As a responsible breeder, from time to time, circumstances come up that are out of the ordinary. I make accommodations in those circumstances. I have first pick of all kittens. I rarely keep a kitten. I have only kept 4 in the last 10 years. However, several of my adult breeding cats are nearing retirement age, so I will be holding back a few OPTION kittens to consider adding to my breeding program. If I post a kitten with the word OPTION, it means I am holding onto the kitten to see if I may want to keep it for my breeding program. Option kittens that I do not select are released by me after I decide whether I want to keep them, usually around 16 weeks. Option kittens may be offered at higher pricing than other kittens, even though they are a little older because I found them to be uniquely exceptional. They will be posted when available. Option Kittens are always the very best of the best and worth the wait.
- For those of you with DEPOSIT RESERVATIONS, when I have kittens, the matching process does not start until kittens are 6-8 weeks old and the process is time consuming- I take 30 photos of each kitten and then choose the best three photos to post. Kittens do not pose and are HARD to take photos of. It requires time and patience to get good photos so you can see the personalities in the photos. I don't post all kittens. I know, based on my LIST, what people want and I may directly text photos to the next person on the list of a kitten I know he or she would want.
